NORTHERN SYDNEY

Family Care Medical Services provides high quality after hours primary medical care to the population of Northern Sydney through our after hours home visiting services (available to the patients of subscribing GPs) and our after hours GP clinic at Ryde Hospital.

After Hours Home Visiting Services

We understand that when sickness strikes overnight, or on the weekend, there are very few doctor's surgeries open and the emergency centres are overcrowded and have long waiting times.  Often, it is impractical, or even impossible, to leave home in the middle of the night to get to a doctor.  When a General Practitioner subscribes to our service, we provide their patients access to our home visiting service, which is just a phone call away.  Our Medical Referral Assesors will take the patient's details and arrange for a doctor to visit the patient in the comfort and convenience of their own home.

Our Northern Sydney home visiting service covers North of Sydney Harbour to Hornsby and Palm Beach and west to the Hills district.

Hours of Operation

After Hours GP Clinics

Family Care Medical Services operates an After Hours GP clinic at the Ryde Public Hospital, right next to the Hospital Emergency Department.  No appointments are necessary and most consultations are bulk billed.

We are currently working with NSW Health and the North Sydney Central Coast Area Health Service to establish an After Hours GP Clinic at Mona Vale Hospital.  We expect this clinic to open in early September 2008.
